Analysis Of Damage Lubrication System Component on Caterpillar C7 Engines. Machine Engineering. Mechanical Engineering. TEDC Polytechnic Bandung. Lubrication System is one of the Engine systems that serves to lubricate and prevent wear and tear in maintaining component durability. Therefore Lubrication System should work properly and lubricate every moving engine components. This analysis was carried out with the aim of knowing damage to the components of the Lubrication System and how the components The damage and wear. The analysis was done by using Caterpillar C7 engine by means of several processes including visual inspection, testing and measurement. After doing the analysis, the writer assembles it again components and engines. Visual inspection and measurements are carried out on the Oil pump, Oil Cooler testing is carried out according to the literature, cutting Screen Oil filter to see the particles that exist in the Screen. The results obtained are Abrasive wear and Contact stress fatigue occur due to large clearance and friction during engine operation and damage to Spring relief valve the oil pump and relief valve damage Spring on Oil Filter bypass velve. Spring replacement should be done on Oil pump relief valve and bypass filter valve in accordance with the specifications.
